M.A.T. in Classical Studies: Latin

The M.A.T. in Classical Studies is completed through the Department of Classical Studies, in conjunction with the School of Education. M.A.T. students will complete 60 credits hours in the following categories:

  • 20 credits in Greek and/or Latin language and culture
  • 6 credits in classical civilization and culture
  • 24 credits in School of Education classes
  • 10 credits in supervised student teaching

M.A.T. students must pass the M.A. Latin Exam and the M.A. Latin Literature exam. M.A.T. students may also fulfill their degree requirement in the history of Latin literature by passing the Ph.D. examination in the History of Latin Literature.
