Students are admitted with funding that includes a minimum stipend of $22,000, a fee remission, and benefits. Our students are supported by teaching assignments, either assisting a faculty member in a large lecture course or as instructor in an independent section (e.g. Latin or Medical Terminology). These packages are supplemented by summer grants and fellowship opportunities to support summer study and travel abroad.
Both the College of Arts and Sciences and the University Graduate School offer recruiting fellowships. The College also offers competitive fellowships for dissertation research and writing. The department’s graduate committee nominates students for these awards.
