M.A. Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies, University of New Mexico, 2017
While I attended the Comparative Language and Literature program at the University of New Mexico, I wrote a thesis about how Herodotus portrayed ethnicity in his Histories. For the past four years at IU, I have decided to continue pursuing similar research topics about Herodotus, ancient Greek history, and ethnography. I have supplemented my research interests by adding a doctoral minor in History, which has provided a different perspective than the ones I learned from my more Classical Studies-based training at the Ohio State University and the University of New Mexico. I am currently preparing for my special author exam on Herodotus, which will lead to my dissertation project on the same author.
