Department of Classical Studies

During my first year of undergraduate study, I enrolled in an introductory classical studies course, and from that moment I was hooked on learning as much as I could about the ancient world. Though my interests range from the study of early Christianity to modern conceptions of gender and sexuality, my research primarily focuses on the influence of ancient literary tropes on modern popular culture, cinema in particular. I am currently pursuing my MA in Ancient Greek, and I intend to continue on to my PhD in Classical Studies.
