Congratulations to Ph.D. Student Gwen Gibbons who recently advanced to candidacy and will begin working on her dissertation!
Gwen was also accepted into the American Academy in Rome's Classical Summer School! She was awarded the Imperatrix SPQR Helen Aurora Gulamerian Scholarship to support her participation in this program. During her time in the program, she plans to study acorns and pomegranates as fertility symbols in Augustan art.
